Our balance and scale calibration services provide complete, fully compliant service for all of your balance needs. All services are performed on-site at the user's facility. Services cover a wide variety of weighing instruments, including ultra-micro balances, toploaders, torsion scales, and knife-edge balances. Services incorporate time-tested methodologies in compliance with standards that govern gravimetric measurement systems, and include cornerload, repeatability, and linearity tests; both "as found" and "as left" data; cleaning of draft shield, housing, weighing pan, weighing chamber, and door tracks; adjustment of the instruments using a weight matching procedure; "blowing out" the weighing cell to ensure accurate and consistent readings; and releveling the balance.

Ultra-micro balances are devices that have readabilities ranging from 0.1-1 micrograms with capacities that normally do not exceed 10 grams. Micro balances usually have a readability between 0.01 and 1 g and a maximum capacity of less than 500g. Toploader and torsion balances have readabilities above 1gram with capacities that normally exceed 500grams.
